Vertex Standard EVX-5300 At-A-Glance

The EVX-5300 operates in both analog and digital modes, making it easy to use with any existing analog two-way radios.  Using the TDMA protocol, and the AMBE+2 vocoder, the EVX-5300 digital radio eliminates noise and static from voice transmit allowing it to deliver voice messages crisply and clearly. Also, you will get ultra-clear audio right up to the edge of the transmit range.

Vertex Standard digital radios operate using the Time-Division Multiple Access (TDMA) digital radio protocol, as opposed to FDMA protocol (Frequency Division Multiple Access). It is important to note these two protocols are not compatible. So, unlike analog radios, not all digital radios work together in digital mode. However, TDMA is the most common protocol used worldwide.

The EVX-5300 has Vertex Standard’s exclusive Auto-Range Transpond System (ARTS II), you will always know when you are in or out of range with another ARTS II-equipped radio.

Vertex Standard EVX-5300 Worker Safety Features

As with all Vertex Standard mobile radios, the EVX-5300 radio includes Emergency Alert for enhanced driver safety.  Operators can activate the Lone Worker function when leaving equipment or a vehicle temporarily. If a problem arises while away, the radio switches to Emergency mode to alert help.
