Finally a digital radio every business can afford!  The EVX-531 can operate in both analog and digital modes.  So you can use it with your current radios.  Digital transmissions provide superior voice quality.  Digital error correction is built-in to eliminate static, background noice, and distortion.  Also, with digital you will get clear audio right up to the edge of your communication range.  And digital radios use about 40% less power so your battery lasts much longer.  Each radio has a unique ID allowing users to select who they need to call, meaning you won't distrub others who don't need to hear your message.   To read about all the advantages of digital two-way radios click here.
It is submersible (up to 3 ft for 30 minutes) and weatherproof.  There are several worker safety features, emergency alert, lone worker alert, escalating alert, remote monitor, and whisper mode for quite locations.  The Vertex EVX-531 has the Channel Announce feature that clearly speaks the channel description to simplify changing channels.  It has numerous scan options (priority, dual watch, follow-me, and mixed-mode scan).

Choose your battery from either the standard battery that gives approximately 9 hours of operating time when used under normal conditions (5% TX, 5% RX, 90% standby). Or choose the high capacity battery which gives approximately 15 hours of operating time.
